The American Analog Set: This group formed in 1995, originating from Austin, Texas is known for their ambient, indie rock. Their sound is aged. Here are two songs one from their 2005 album titled Set Free and and one from their 1996 album titled The Fun of Watching Fireworks.

American Analog Set - “Trespassers in the Stereo Field”Catpeople: Their sound is very similar to the sound of
Interpol. They have also been compared to The
Editors and The
Killers. Two of their more favorable songs follow off their 2006 album titled
Reel #1.

Catpeople - “Alone”El Ten Eleven: This group is awesome! Their full sound derives from only a two-member band. The lead guitarist, Kristian Dunn, strums a guitar with two necks and simultaneously plays the bass and lead! The band inquires the use of recorders while live to repeat the tune they played prior allowing them to build on that sound. No need for extra band members! It’s hard to describe. Watch the video below to see how they improvise. They are much more amazing to see than hear even though the following two songs are just amazing. Drummer: Tim Fogarty.
